Colorado River Adventures owns and operates eight Membership Camping Resorts, which have over 2,000 full hookup RV sites, and currently service approximately 14,000 members. Recreational activities are endless at Colorado River Adventures Resorts: golfing, boating,hiking, swimming, horseback riding, antiquing, fishing, games, tennis, shuffleboard, barbecues, parties – the list goes on. In addition to the Membership Camping Resorts, Colorado River Adventures owns and operates over 25 other types of businesses between Lake Havasu City and Parker, Arizona.
Colorado River Adventures is an Arizona Corporation owned by three individuals who have known each other since childhood. Together, they have remained in business with one another for 30 years. Two partners, Wayne Howard and Michael Trauscht, are Phoenix based attorneys; Phil Younis, President, is a respected leader in the RV membership industry and based on-site at corporate headquarters at Emerald Cove Resort.
History
In 1972, Colorado River Adventures began at Buckskin State Park as part of the concessions for the Bureau of Land Management. Colorado River Adventures has grown to become the largest Arizona concession in all its state parks. Colorado River Adventures’ first RV Park opened in 1979 and today operates 15 parks, both public and private.
