 In
1972, Colorado River Adventures started at
Buckskin State Park as part of the concessions
for the Bureau of Land Management. CRA has
since grown to be the largest concession
in Arizona for all its state parks.
CRA’s
first RV Park was opened in 1979 and today
we operate 15 parks, both public and private.
CRA owns and operates seven membership
camping resorts which have over 2,000 full
hookup RV sites. Emerald Cove Resort was
the first of these parks, located six miles
north of Parker, Arizona on the California
side of the Colorado River. It is the largest
of the seven membership parks and serves
as our corporate headquarters. Currently,
we service approximately 14,000 members.
 The
other six parks include Yuma Lakes RV Resort
(just outside of Yuma, AZ); Lake Havasu RV
Resort, (located near the world famous London
Bridge) in Lake Havasu City, Arizona; NorthShore
RV Resort in Needles, California (on the
Colorado River near the gambling casinos
in Laughlin, Nevada); El Golfo RV Beach Resort
in El Golfo, Mexico (on the Sea of Cortez)
and the newest acquisition Cherry Valley
Ranch RV Resort just off I-10 near Banning,
California.
CRA is an Arizona Corporation
owned by three individuals who have known
each other since childhood. Together, they
have been in business with one another for
30 years. Two of the partners, Wayne Howard
and Michael Trauscht, are Phoenix based attorneys;
and myself,
Phil Younis, President are based on-site
at the corporate headquarters at Emerald
Cove.
 In addition to the membership camping resorts,
we own and operate over 25 other types of
businesses between Lake Havasu City and Parker,
Arizona. The majority of them are located
on the banks of the Colorado River, called
the Parker Strip. These businesses are the
accumulation of 30 years of fair and honest
business practices.
At
CRA, we work constantly to improve and
expand our facilities to assure our members
a clean, safe and fun place to enjoy with
