Think
of our Resorts as if they were the best steakhouse in town.
Would you expect to be able to walk in on Friday night
without a reservation and get a table? Let alone the best
table in the house? Of course you wouldn’t,
you would know better! But, you could probably try the same thing on a Wednesday
night and have no problem, right?
Well, during certain peak times, our resorts work much the same way. Because
we offer some of the finest resorts in the most popular destinations, we too
find ourselves with everyone clammering for the best sites at the same time.
Here are some easy to follow tips to help:
1.
Weekends can be very busy. One way to beat the rush is
to arrive on Wednesday evening instead of Friday. Just
imagine yourself sitting in a riverfront site Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday!
2.
Instead of taking your whole yearly paid vacation in
one consecutive week, turn that one week into three weeks
by breaking it into smaller pieces. Take three sets of
Thursday & Friday off. When
added to a Saturday and Sunday, you end up with three
vacations instead of one!
3.
If you must arrive on Friday, be prepared. You may have
to wait for the site you hoped for. We provide the “river list” at
the gate so that when the site you would have preferred becomes available
we can come to your site and let you know. Ask to be put on the list when
you check in.
4.
Take advantage of us. Plan your activities and meals
around what we offer. Meals are available at the Pool
Bar at Emerald Cove, the clubhouse at NorthShore and
Cherry Valley and the Chuckwagon at KQ Ranch. The KidsClub
is open all weekend, with pool games and tons of fun & activities for the kids. Check
the activity sheet when you arrive...they have them at the gate and in the
store, you’ll find lots of things to do for every member of your
group.
5. We do everything we can to provide space for your guests. Many of you even
have the option to reserve rental accommodations for your guests. However,
during Holiday weekends and other peak times, our top priority is you, our
member. Our members ALWAYS come first, and we may occasionally have to limit
guest usage.
